Meet Stephanie Richards, Client Relationship Executive

“Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you, spend a lot of time with them, and it will change your life forever.”

Amy Poehler

Our team is growing into something much more than we could have hoped for. We are thrilled to add to this momentum by continuing to add incredibly talented individuals to the 123JUNK team. We are so happy to introduce to you Stephanie Richards, our Client Relationship Executive. We are excited to be on this journey together with her as we continue to grow our junk hauling company. Let’s get to know more about Stephanie below!

  1. What is your role at 123JUNK?

As a Client Relationship Executive, I work with our referral partners to establish and nurture our business relationships, helping 123JUNKprovide junk removal as a resource for their clients.

  1. How long have you been at 123JUNK?

I started recently on March 1st and, interestingly enough, I’ve met with over 30 real estate agents so far and that number grows by the day. Not to mention, I’m a people person, so it works out!

  1. How did you hear about 123JUNK and what made you want to work there?

I received a letter from Dave on Indeed. After connecting with him and making my way through the  interview process, I was offered the job. What stood out the most to me was the employee reviews in general. They were all shining reviews from both clients, customers, and employees that made me want to meet these people.

  1. What is your favorite thing about 123JUNK so far?

The team camaraderie. Everybody works so well together. It’s just amazing and rare to have a team that works so smoothly together. Especially in an industry and business that  has a lot of moving parts. There’s a huge logistical component as well, and I don’t see many breakdowns in communications, so that really says a lot.

  1. What is the most important lesson you have learned at 123JUNK so far?

I knew this lesson before, but I have reconnected with the importance of graciously accepting feedback and using that to become better. Feedback exists for you to think, grow, and learn. Sometimes it is challenging, but 123JUNK doesn’t make it difficult. It doesn’t feel personal and everyone genuinely wants you to grow and succeed personally and professionally.

  1. What do you like to do in your free time?

I have two young boys, a seven and a 10 year old. And my free time will soon be filled up with baseball. We also like to hike and rock climb, and then I’m also a huge craft beer fan. I’m still affiliated with Lost Rhino Brewing Company, which is where I worked prior to this role and still help out every now and then.

  1. Do you have any hobbies you enjoy or a special talent?

I don’t know if I have any special talents, but I like to write. I don’t know if I’m talented, but I enjoy it. I do a lot of journaling, and my background is in marketing so I like to write marketing copy.

  1. Do you have any words of advice for young adults looking for work or experience?

My word of advice for young adults, or people in general, looking for work or experience is to keep an open mind. The most unexpected opportunities will find you and that’s kind of how I ended up working at 123JUNK.

Initially I was not attracted to working in waste management, but that’s part of my story and the team was positively receptive to that. I have an ongoing joke that I went from a glamorous place to waste management. Yes, that’s what I’m doing but it’s much bigger than that. Had I not entertained this option, I would have lost out on a great opportunity working in a company that has a positive, wider impact environmentally and on a humanitarian level.
