Meet Chelsea Smith, Client Account Representative

What is your role at 123JUNK?

I am a Client Account Representative, responsible for scheduling appointments with our existing and prospective clients. In my job, I figure out what people looking to remove and I see how we can help. I answer a lot of phone calls and talk to a lot of clients and learn what they’re looking to accomplish with our services. Then I help them to get it done within their schedule.

What made you want to apply to work at 123JUNK?

I was looking for a sales position that would allow me to help clients who needed a service that would be beneficial to them. I applied in many places, but liked the culture of 123JUNK. And once I had my first interview, I said, “I love this company!”

When did you know 123JUNK was right for you?

I looked at the growth of the company, the company culture, the client reviews, and the services they offered. They stood out to me in the way they value their clients, employees and processes. I wanted to a contributor to the success of the company.

How long have you worked here?

I am about to celebrate my four-month anniversary.

What is your favorite thing about 123JUNK?

The culture of excellence. You would think that being a junk removal company, we’d just want to take your junk. But we really thrive on the idea of being a premium company. We’re not just junk removal. We take nice items and like to donate them—that’s our top priority. We donate the majority of items we take and avoid as much stuff going into the landfill as possible. Clients can give items they’re really attached to to others who might need them, and they won’t just go into the trash.

I also love that everyone is super helpful, always has a smile on their face, and is excited to do their job. It’s never hard to get something accomplished, because everyone works together.

What’s the most important thing you’ve learned?

How important it is to just stay organized and make sure all my ducks are in a row. And that it’s OK to ask questions.

What is your best memory of the company so far?

Being successful within the company, hitting a really good stride, and keeping that going.

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?

I love to travel and I love all things outdoors. Trying new things and exploring the world. I’ve been to pretty much every state in America and a lot of international destinations. My favorite place so far is Italy.

Keep a smile on your face, always be happy, and always look for new things to perfect your process. Remember that nothing comes overnight.
